2. Installation Notes
---------------------

If you requested the multi-file installer, you will receive multiple messages with multiple zip files.

To install the application, simply extract all files from the zip archive(s) into a temporary directory, then run SETUP.EXE. This will guide you through the rest of the installation.

This software is provided as-is with no warranty as to it's fitness for purpose or reliability, and damages resulting from it's use are limited to the cost of replacing the software.

We do make every effort to ensure our software is of the highest standard both from a usability as well as a reliability standpoint, so if you encounter bugs or suggestions for features you would like to see, please email our DBTools support address:

3. What's New
-------------

Version 1.5 incorporates a pop-down menu in the query results list. This allows comparison with previous quesry results. This is not yet documented in the help system. To use this feature you must run two queries which produce the same number of output columns in the same order. DBTools will analyze the results trying to construct a unique 'key' for each result set based on as many of the LEFTMOST columns as necessary to make all rows unique. It will then use this key to compare rows between the two result sets giving a colour coded list of differences.

This feature can be extremely useful for ensuring the updates had the expected result, and for comparing data over time etc.


4. Why Register?
----------------

(a) to get support, (b) the demo is time-limited and (c) to assure that new features are added. Furture plans include a database metadata comparison utility and genuine support for other databases (the Dynamic Query interface *does* support other DBs, but not officially).
